Queen of the Lake
Lake Oswego, that is, the tree-laden land south of Portland where anyone with a brain would love to live. This historic house, built around 1918, sits on nearly an acre in the desirable Glenmorrie nabe and includes a barn, sweet cottage (not liveable as is, but good for a 'summer house'), gardens and a pond. Owned for over the last 3 decades by an artist and architect, the $730K home itself is a bright, captivating space, with 3300 square feet (configured into 3 beds/2 baths), beamed ceilings, an especially inviting living room fireplace, wood-clad sunroom and nifty nooks and crannies throughout. One look and you just know it's the kind of home where good memories happen; why not make them happen for you? For more info/pics, go here
