Mooning Over Miami

We love Miami, but sometimes it seems like it's all about models, chi-chi restaurants, thumping nightclubs and folks like J. Lo—flashy and kinda trashy. But there's a different Miami, one with historic homes, the sound of waves in the background, and lush lots that look like a Gauguin painting. This exquisite home is in that part of town. Built in 1924, the 6 bed/4 full/2 half bath Mediterranean Revival in the historic Morningside neighborhood has been quietly updated, but retains original details like tiled and wood floors, arched dooorways, painted and beamed ceilings, and tiled stair risers. Sitting just yards from Biscayne Bay, the $2.9 million home's .47 acre lot includes several garden and patio areas with fountains, a pool, and this amazing checkerboard yard. Entirely too tasteful for J. Lo, but maybe just right for you? For more info/pics, go here
