MCMM: Lloyd Wright in Altadena, California

Frank Lloyd Wright's first son, usually called Lloyd Wright (he was actually Frank Jr.), bravely followed in his father's ginormous footsteps and became a southern California architect of note, incorporating and expanding on many of his father's ideas like patterned concrete blocks and collapsing glass walls to blur the interior and exterior lines. This is one of his homes, a 1500 square foot beauty in Altadena, California, with 2 beds/1 bath, and exquisite details like beamed ceilings with a diamond patterned background, rose-colored brick walls, and polished concrete floors. The kitchen has been updated, but not startlingly so (love the cabinets), and the bath's green tiles look original. On the market for $998K, the property includes a quarter acre of landscaped patios and a pool. Earthy but elegant, you need to take a closer look here
